For the first time on video George Formby tells his own story in words and music. Recorded in 1960 this programme is full of pathos, humour and anecdotes all told in the unique Formby style.
However it is through music that it becomes clear why he was England’s most successful entertainer of a sadly departed age. This programme also includes footage of George Formby ‘Entertaining The Troops’.
